FAIL LIKE A CHILD
I still remember with nostalgia when this little friend of mine, Daaluchukwu, was learning her first walk.
It was funny, considering the so many attempt made to succeed. When a child is learning how to walk and falls down fifty times, he/she never stops and think to himself/herself, "this is not for me".
I still remembered how her mother would help get back up, telling her to keep trying, that she can do it. Well, today, she not only walk gallantly, she runs as she grows...smiles
And that is the same in life
Funny enough, but rather unfortunate, as we grow older we start building up these barriers on our minds and in our lives.
We start saying things like..." I can't do this", "this isn't for me", " it's impossible".
We start worrying about what people think and what they say about us.
See, the thing about limitations is that they are only true if you believe in them.
So, instead of believing in your limitations, start believing in yourself.
I use to worry about the labels people put on me, until I realized that wasn't them, it was me.
And that's why we need to move away from those limitations and barriers and start to fail like a child.
We need to learn to fail like children. Children fall over, get back up and start walking. You've done that, I've done that, we've done that...my little friend here, daaluchukwu did that!
We need to learn to fail like a child.
